Voice of Beruk, Beast...

"I have little more to say. I merely repeat, remember always your duty of enmity towards Man and all his ways. Whatever goes upon two legs is an enemy. Whatever goes upon four legs, or has wings, is a friend. And remember also that in fighting against Man, we must not come to resemble him. Even when you have conquered him, do not adopt his vices. No animal must ever live in a house, or sleep in a bed, or wear clothes, or drink alcohol, or smoke tobacco, or touch money, or engage in trade. All the habits of Man are evil. And, above all, no animal must ever tyrannise over his own kind. Weak or strong, clever or simple, we are all brothers. No animal must ever kill any other animal. All animals are equal."

"And now, comrades, I will tell you about my dream of last night. I cannot describe that dream to you. It was a dream of the earth as it will be when Man has vanished. But it reminded me of something that I had long forgotten. Many years ago, when I was a little pig, my mother and the other sows used to sing an old song of which they knew only the tune and the first three words. I had known that tune in my infancy, but it had long since passed out of my mind. Last night, however, it came back to me in my dream. And what is more, the words of the song also came back–words, I am certain, which were sung by the animals of long ago and have been lost to memory for generations. I will sing you that song now, comrades. I am old and my voice is hoarse, but when I have taught you the tune, you can sing it better for yourselves. It is called Beasts of England."

Old Major cleared his throat and began to sing. As he had said, his voice was hoarse, but he sang well enough, and it was a stirring tune, something between Clementine and La Cucaracha. The words ran:

Beasts of England, beasts of Ireland, Beasts of every land and clime, Hearken to my joyful tidings Of the golden future time. Soon or late the day is coming, Tyrant Man shall be o'erthrown, And the fruitful fields of England Shall be trod by beasts alone. Rings shall vanish from our noses, And the harness from our back, Bit and spur shall rust forever, Cruel whips no more shall crack. Riches more than mind can picture, Wheat and barley, oats and hay, Clover, beans, and mangel-wurzels Shall be ours upon that day. Bright will shine the fields of England, Purer shall its waters be, Sweeter yet shall blow its breezes On the day that sets us free. For that day we all must labour, Though we die before it break; Cows and horses, geese and turkeys, All must toil for freedom's sake. Beasts of England, beasts of Ireland, Beasts of every land and clime, Hearken well and spread my tidings Of the golden future time.

The singing of this song threw the animals into the wildest excitement. Almost before Major had reached the end, they had begun singing it for themselves. Even the stupidest of them had already picked up the tune and a few of the words, and as for the clever ones, such as the pigs and dogs, they had the entire song by heart within a few minutes. And then, after a few preliminary tries, the whole farm burst out into Beasts of England in tremendous unison. The cows lowed it, the dogs whined it, the sheep bleated it, the horses whinnied it, the ducks quacked it. They were so delighted with the song that they sang it right through five times in succession, and might have continued singing it all night if they had not been interrupted.

Unfortunately, the uproar awoke Mr. Jones, who sprang out of bed, making sure that there was a fox in the yard. He seized the gun which always stood in a corner of his bedroom, and let fly a charge of number 6 shot into the darkness. The pellets buried themselves in the wall of the barn and the meeting broke up hurriedly. Everyone fled to his own sleeping-place. The birds jumped on to their perches, the animals settled down in the straw, and the whole farm was asleep in a moment.

The Great Commandment

The pigs now revealed that during the past three months they had taught themselves to read and write from an old spelling book which had belonged to Mr. Jones's children and which had been thrown on the rubbish heap. Napoleon sent for pots of black and white paint and led the way down to the five-barred gate that gave on to the main road. Then Snowball (for it was Snowball who was best at writing) took a brush between the two knuckles of his trotter, painted out MANOR FARM from the top bar of the gate and in its place painted ANIMAL FARM. This was to be the name of the farm from now onwards. After this they went back to the farm buildings, where Snowball and Napoleon sent for a ladder which they caused to be set against the end wall of the big barn. They explained that by their studies of the past three months the pigs had succeeded in reducing the principles of Animalism to Seven Commandments. These Seven Commandments would now be inscribed on the wall; they would form an unalterable law by which all the animals on Animal Farm must live for ever after. With some difficulty (for it is not easy for a pig to balance himself on a ladder) Snowball climbed up and set to work, with Squealer a few rungs below him holding the paint-pot. The Commandments were written on the tarred wall in great white letters that could be read thirty yards away. They ran thus:

It was very neatly written, and except that "friend" was written "freind" and one of the "S's" was the wrong way round, the spelling was correct all the way through. Snowball read it aloud for the benefit of the others. All the animals nodded in complete agreement, and the cleverer ones at once began to learn the Commandments by heart.

To Think is Dangerous and to submit to God is a way of Life

Is thinking Good or is it Evil? By having brains to think should there be a stop to the freedom of thoughts? In a way should man be stop to be a thinking being?

A knife is a very useful tool. Without it we cannot prepare our food in the kitchen. However, in the wrong hands, a knife can kill. Should we then ban knives and eat our food whole and uncut like a lion devouring a goat? Do we rip the food to pieces with our teeth?

A fire is required to cook our food. We cannot eat our food raw and uncooked the way animals do. Further to that, uncooked food is a source of diseases. However, in the wrong hands, a fire can kill. Should we then ban fires and eat our food raw and uncooked?

Freedom of expression can be very useful, even necessary at times. But freedom of expression, in the wrong hands, can also kill. Wrongly applied, freedom of expression can start fights, cause riots and result in racial or religious strife. Should we then ban freedom of expression?

Thinking is also dangerous. If we start thinking we might start questioning our government or even religion. We might start asking for proof that there is a God and an Afterlife. We might start thinking that much in religion is not logical, though religion is not based on logic but on faith (and that is why we call it FAITH — such as ‘Islamic Faith’, Christian Faith’, Jewish Faith’ etc.). Should we then ban thinking as well?

How bout the thoughts of having sex? Is Sex Good or is it Bad? Is rapist in the making comes from the head that has that thoughts? Is the head to be blame for having such thoughts? Tat is why there are what we call laws to uphold be it man made laws or God's Law.

“Behold, you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken, for she is a man’s wife.” — Genesis 20:3

First of all, there is a difference between rape (which is a crime of violence) and zina or adultery (which is illicit but consensual sex). If you borrow money from a bank (which is consensual on the part of both parties — the lender and the borrower) and you do not pay back your loan, would you get arrested and charged for robbery (which is not consensual on the part of the bank but you took the money anyway)? After all, in both cases you took the bank’s money and they lost this money.

But in the second case it was by force and was not consensual. In short, you ‘raped’ the bank or took something by force (like you do to a woman you rape).Hence when we talk about zina we need to talk about adultery and not rape.

And thou shall not commit adultery is one of the Ten Commandments of the Jews, Christians and Muslims alike. Adultery is one of three sins, along with idolatry and murder, which the Mishnah says must be resisted to the point of death.

“Behold, you are a dead man because of the woman whom you have taken, for she is a man’s wife.” — Genesis 20:3

“Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality, nor thieves, nor the greedy, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.” — 1 Corinthians 6:9-11

“Adultery is an injustice. He who commits adultery fails in his commitment. He does injury to the sign of the covenant which the marriage bond is, transgresses the rights of the other spouse, and undermines the institution of marriage by breaking the contract on which it is based. He compromises the good of human generation and the welfare of children who need their parents’ stable union.” — Catechism of the Catholic Church, 2335

We Dont Need No Thoughts Control!!!

200 years ago, Napoléon Bonaparte conquered Europe right up to Russia soon after the collapse of the Hapsburg and Holy Roman Empires.

Napoléon then introduced Secularism and the separation of church and state to Europe. He also abolished the monopoly the church had over education and set up public schools with a non-religious based education by changing the entire education system. In short, the Europeans were dragged kicking and screaming into the modern world.

Before that, only the sons of the elite were allowed an education. The rakyat and girls were not given an education. And the schools were run by the church. So education was very much religious-based. Napoleon abolished this system. He established public schools, which were open to anyone who wanted an education, even children of the masses or peasants. The powers of the church were curtailed.

Europeans were taught that the Monarchs were not God’s representatives on earth. In fact, the Monarchy should be abolished in favour of a republic. Once the Pandora’s box was opened it could never be closed again. Europe went through so many ‘mental’ revolutions — plus an industrial revolution and many bloody revolutions as well. Nationalistic sentiments grew and eventually monarchic empires collapsed and were replaced by republics. Italy, Germany, etc., emerged from the ashes of the Holy Roman Empire and the Hapsburg Empire.

Empires not only collapsed but many new nations were born after the death of these empires. New countries were formed based on language and cultural differences. Basically, nationalism (based on ethnicity) and language decided the new boundaries of Europe. Religion was reduced to a personal thing and no longer united Europe. And non-religious-based education was the catalyst.

Today, in France, you can insult Jesus Christ, Prophet Muhammad, Christianity, Islam, the Bible, the Quran, etc., and have gay marriages and multiple sex partners and you will not get arrested (or put to death) like in the past. That is the advancement that Napoléon introduced to France and the whole of Europe.

Children of all religions are being brainwashed

All religious schools or religious education should be banned, not just for Islam but for Christianity, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc., as well. Religion and religious education involves brainwashing. And brainwashing is another form of abuse, mental abuse, and is worse than physical abuse. To make it worse, this mental abuse is inflicted on children of five years old or younger, and this turns these children into religious freaks.

For example, in some countries, children five to seven years old are kidnapped and are brainwashed to kill. When these child-soldiers are about eight to ten years old they are sent out to fight and kill. And they kill without any emotion because that is what they have been brainwashed to do. Even the US employs them (by outsourcing the fighting to private contractors who employ these child-soldiers at US$250 a month instead of paying US$1,200 a month for ‘normal’ soldiers or war veterans).

So, brainwashing or mental abuse is bad and worse than physical abuse. And this is how religions work, by brainwashing or by inflicting mental abuse. And all religions, without exception, do this. I mean if not why would children want to become Muslims, Christians, Hindus or Buddhists if not because they have been subjected to mental abuse such as indoctrination and brainwashing, a form of cruelty to children?

So, yes, ban religious schools and religious education by all means. But do not just ban Islamic schools or Islamic education. Christian, Hindu and Buddhist religious schools and religious education must also be banned because they, too, inflict mental abuse on children. And we should not tolerate child abuse and turn children into freaks who believe in nonsense, superstition, myths and unfounded and unproven beliefs called religion.
